Sienna is Toyota’s first and foremost minivan by importance. This edition, 2015 Toyota Sienna Hybrid comes with better engine options, performance, equipment, design and other features. Year after year it keeps up with good sales, but these things come and go.
Competition is already thinking about hybrid MPV’s like those in Japan and Toyota should do the same, especially because they have the necessary experience. Also, price is very good. But when we talk about release date, this model we can expect in fall this year.
The Engine range
It isn’t a done deal, especially for next year’s model, but hybrid powertrain might feature later on. 2015 brings a mid-cycle redesign for Toyota’s people mover and it would be a perfect time to offer something like Highlander’s 3.5L V6 engine and couple of electric motors for a total of 280 horsepower. Nickel-metal hydride batteries are cheaper solution and Toyota still practices them, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if we actually see one of them in hybrid Sienna.
2015 Toyota Sienna Hybrid Design – Inside and Outside
Facelift will change this MPV a little bit and front end fascia will get a new mesh grille which will essentially keep its shape. Lower air intake might get more breething space at the expense of a bumper, and rear end could get new set of tail-lights.
Inside, Sienna will be refurbished with modern soft-touch materials and contrast stitching in cloth or available leather seat upholstery. There’s still no comfirmation as it was always a minor flaw, but Toyota will most likely enable its MPV’s seats to finally completely fold down without leaving a rail. Dashboard will be slightly redesigned and will be more driver-focused. Unlike previous models, 2015 year Sienna will have a standard 7-inch touch screen in order to simplify the control system. This means that higher grade hybrid models will now get a rearview camera with front and rear parking sensors, and even with a possibility of including the blind-spot monitors. Other than that, Sienna will offer a full airbag system, standard stability controls, anti-lock brakes, pre-collision protection system and available dynamic cruise control.
2015 Toyota Sienna Hybrid Price
With its combined powertrain, Sienna hybrid should be able to offer around 30 mpg combined estimated when fuel efficiency is concerned. Depending on where in the lineup Toyota plans to stuck new hybrid models, they might have a price tag from $38,000 to $45,000. However, Sienna is available with plenty of accessories and price might soar quite quickly.
2015 Toyota Sienna hybrid could be one of the best options for people and even cargo moving. This MPV as always offers nicely designed and rich interior, and additional improvement in fuel economy will only bring benefits. It is clear to see how Sienna is a great choice for big families.
